GTA 6 Editions: Standard vs Ultimate & What to Buy

Updated 5 July 2026. We keep this page current as Rockstar confirms edition details.
GTA 6 comes in two editions: the Standard Edition at $79.99 / €79.99 / £69.99 and the Ultimate Edition at $99.99 / €99.99 / £89.99. Here is exactly what each one includes, what the Ultimate Edition adds, and which one is worth buying for the 19 November 2026 launch.
GTA 6 Standard Edition
The Standard Edition is the full base game: the complete Grand Theft Auto VI single-player story with Jason and Lucia in Leonida. Pre-ordering before 20 November also gets you the Vintage Vice City bonus pack (period clothing, hairstyles and a weapon finish), and digital pre-orders add one month of GTA+. For most players, the Standard Edition is all you need.
GTA 6 Ultimate Edition
The Ultimate Edition includes everything in the Standard Edition plus a stack of extras aimed at getting you set up faster:
- The '95 Grotti Cheetah Classic supercar
- The scoped Hawk & Little Morgan revolver and personalised sidearm variants for Jason and Lucia
- Vice-style clothing and hairstyles
- Jason's safehouse vehicles
- A Mod Kit (Muscle Up for Jason) and Mod Shop discounts
- Exclusive access at five in-game businesses: Rideout Customs, Sara's Salon, Stock 305, Electric Fang Tattoo and One-Eyed Willie's
Standard vs Ultimate: which GTA 6 edition should you buy?
If you just want the game and the story, the Standard Edition is the smart pick, and you can always upgrade to Ultimate later. The Ultimate Edition makes sense if you want the head-start content, the exclusive vehicles and the cosmetic extras from day one. Neither edition changes the core game. For the cheapest way to buy either one, store by store, see our GTA 6 price and pre-order guide.
