does anyone else sit there wondering what happens to our current online accounts once 6 online eventually turns up. im not talking about the money coming across, i know full well thats never happening.

more like some kind of nod for the hours put in, tiered off your rank and what youve actually finished. or let us bring the character over and write it into the fiction, did a stretch in bolingbroke, walked out with nothing to his name, headed south to leonida for a clean slate. i know its wishful thinking and they havent even properly announced online yet, just something to chew over while we wait

different game, different map, different economy from the ground up. what exactly would even carry across

porting the character i really cant see. some sort of thank you for the people who stuck with online for over a decade though, that i could genuinely believe. a livery, a shirt, a bit of starting cash, something small

id happily take a reward, id rather they never went near transfers again. mine got wiped around 2020 and he never came back, so im not pressing that button twice 🙃

worth remembering they have done character transfers before. 360 and ps3 onto the last lot, then again onto ps5 and series x, one direction only and the window shut behind you.

so the plumbing exists, its just that every one of those was the same game moving to newer hardware. two entirely separate games with different everything is a completely different job, and it means maintaining the old one forever for anyone who hasnt jumped

the loyalty reward will be a slightly nicer gta+ tier and youll be paying monthly for the privilege of having it

the thing id actually want isnt cash anyway. carry the stats over. hours, races, heists finished, stick it on a plaque on the wall of the new place. costs them nothing and it means more than a hundred grand you burn through in ten minutes

hang it off the achievements youve already unlocked, thats sat on your account already. fairest way to do the tier thing without anyone farming it in advance

and rockstar still havent said a single word about how 6 online even works. no date, no structure, not even confirmation of what it is. were all colouring in a blank page here

oh completely, thats half the fun of it right now. ask me again the day they finally put a trailer out and ill have opinions with actual facts behind them
