This is the first volume of TeamHimes' JDM collection: 26 Japanese cars delivered in a single add-on package for GTA V Enhanced, each with its own model name and its own add-on engine sound. The line up runs from the 1969 Skyline 2000 GT-R hakosuka to the R35 GT-R, taking in both generations of Silvia, the S13 and the S14, the 180SX in Rocket Bunny widebody trim, the FC3S and FD3S RX-7, three Supras (the A70, the A80 and a modified Mk4), the Fairlady Z S30 in Devil Z trim, the Lancer Evolution IX and X, an Eclipse coupe and an Eclipse Spyder, the Civic EF9 and Type R EK9, the Integra Type R DC5, the S2000, the MR2 AW11, the MX-5 Rocket Bunny, the GTO, the Impreza WRX STI, the 350Z and an NSX with a Liberty Walk style kit.

Some of the cars ship with tuning options and some do not, which TeamHimes explains as a limit of the models that were usable. The screenshots were taken on a Japanese map, which is why the backdrops are elevated expressways, mountain villages, vending machines and Ferris wheels rather than Los Santos.

The whole pack installs as one dlcpack. Copy the folder into dlcpacks, register jdmteamhimesvol1 in dlclist.xml with OpenIV or the onigiri loader, and then spawn each car by its own model name. The full spawn list also ships inside the archive.

Original models by StuntmanFlexx, HitmanNiko, Gx_Lover, Trgworks, Vsoreny, CSQ574, [YCA]-Y97Y, navefa_, ahmeda1999, erfet, Just_Riko, Abolfazldanaee, Wanted188, Ghost0912 and kimpet, with engine sounds by TheAdmiester, Legacy_DMC, Fadilj, Streiter_V12, Aquaphobic and Azerrty, converted to GTA V Enhanced by TeamHimes. TeamHimes states he contacted the original authors wherever possible and got permission from most of them, and that any author who does not want their car in the pack can ask for it to be removed. Hosted on GTA6 Cartel with permission, with the original release linked as the source.

Requirements

  • GTA V Enhanced
  • OpenIV (or the onigiri loader) to edit dlclist.xml
  • A trainer with vehicle spawning to spawn the cars
  • Enough free disk space: this is a 26 car package, not a single vehicle
  • NaturalVision Enhanced (NVE) is optional, the cars are tuned to look right with it

How to install

  1. 1Copy the contents of the folder to mods\update\x64\dlcpacks (or to onigiri\dlcpacks if you use the onigiri loader).
  2. 2With OpenIV, open mods\update\update.rpf\common\data and edit dlclist.xml. With onigiri, edit onigiri\common\data\dlclist.xml with any text editor.
  3. 3Add the line <Item>dlcpacks:/jdmteamhimesvol1/</Item> and save the file.
  4. 4In game, spawn each car by its own model name. The spawn list is also included inside the 7z archive.
  5. 5Spawn names (26 cars): 2000gtr (Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R), evo10 (Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X), a70 (Toyota Supra Mk3 A70), mx5rb (Mazda MX-5 Rocket Bunny), mitsugto (Mitsubishi GTO / 3000GT), mr2aw11 (Toyota MR2 AW11), FD (Mazda RX-7 FD3S), eclipsespydertrg (Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder), fc3s (Mazda RX-7 FC3S), filthynsx (Honda / Acura NSX, Filthy-LB bodykit), bmeclipse95 (Mitsubishi Eclipse 1995), bnsgtr99 (Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 1999), gtr (Nissan GT-R R35), btsupra94 (Toyota Supra Mk4 1994), DC5 (Honda Integra Type R DC5), devilz (Nissan Fairlady Z S30 Devil Z), EF9 (Honda Civic EF9), EK9 (Honda Civic Type R EK9), evo9 (Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX), 350z (Nissan 350Z), gxap3 (Honda S2000 AP3), gxs13 (Nissan Silvia S13), gxs14 (Nissan Silvia S14), gxwrx (Subaru Impreza WRX STI), a80 (Toyota Supra Mk4 A80), 180sxrb (Nissan 180SX Rocket Bunny).
  6. 6Watch the capitalisation: FD, DC5, EF9 and EK9 are spelled in upper case exactly as listed.
  7. 7Two model names in this pack are already taken by standalone mods in the catalogue: filthynsx (F7LTHY Liberty Walk NSX) and bmeclipse95 (1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS). Remove those two before installing the pack.

Frequently asked questions

How do I spawn the cars in this pack?

Each car has its own model name, listed in the install steps and inside the archive. Spawn them with any trainer, for example 2000gtr for the Skyline hakosuka or gxwrx for the Impreza WRX STI. Respect the upper case letters in FD, DC5, EF9 and EK9.

I can't hear the engine sounds. What's wrong?

Add-on engine sounds conflict with each other, an issue that has existed since the Legacy scene. If it happens to you, install the variant that keeps the original GTA engine audio.

Does it work on GTA V Legacy?

No. This package targets GTA V Enhanced only. Legacy players should look for the original releases by each model's author.

Do all 26 cars have tuning parts?

No. Some of the cars in the pack ship with tuning options and some do not, because the usable models were not all built the same way. The pack installs as a single dlcpack either way, so you cannot pick and choose which cars to add.
