Draper Island, i keep seeing people guess Jacksonville but the port usage lines up way better with Davis Islands in Tampa. Draper (cloth merchant) might even be a nod to the old shipping trade there. filing that under pretty confident

this thread went from plate autism to floating point precision to Tampa textile history in three days and thats honestly exactly why i lurk here
small overnight thing, theres a Motorcycle Monument reference in the leak dumps. Daytona is the only Florida spot i can think of with a landmark like that, which bumps Sundown is Daytona up a notch for me. not conclusive but another straw on the pile
0,0 is roughly at Vice City
for comparison, RDR2's origin sits roughly between Horseshoe Overlook and Flatneck Station, not the geographic centre. R* puts 0,0 where the dense playable stuff is to keep float error low there, not in the middle of the map. so VC being at 0,0 tells us where the detail budget went, not where the edges are. dont read a hidden southeast landmass into it just from the origin
the more i think about it the more the scattered small towns are the real headline, not the third city question. SA had that and its still the map people are most nostalgic about. give me five towns with real personality over one more skyscraper district
ok i'll admit we're not solving Sundown from event names and a blurry sign. its a gameplay trailer reveal. whoever's right gets to be insufferable about it for exactly one day before we move on to arguing about interiors
so where does the thread land after all this: north is park plus a small town or two, no panhandle, Gloriana probably a linear or Appalachia flavoured detour at most, Sundown is a coin flip, and the water traversal carries the whole map. that about right?
