GTA 6 Trailer 3: what to expect

Updated 17 August 2026. Trailer 3 has not been released yet. We update this page the moment it drops.
GTA 6 Trailer 3 has not been released. As of 17 August 2026, Rockstar has shown two trailers and has not announced, teased or even acknowledged a third. Here is the honest state of it: when it could arrive, what came before, and how to tell the real thing from the fakes.
When is GTA 6 Trailer 3 coming out?
There is no official date. Rockstar has announced nothing. The date the community was certain about — 25 June 2026, when pre-orders opened — came and went without a trailer; what arrived that day were the prices ($79.99 Standard, $99.99 Ultimate, with the Vintage Vice City Pack as the pre-order bonus). Since then, industry press has converged on a window between late July and mid-August 2026, with Take-Two's next earnings call in early August as the obvious beat to hang it on.
Read that for what it is: informed speculation, not news. With the game launching on 19 November 2026, Rockstar has four months of marketing left and every incentive to pick its own moment. We are watching its channels daily and will update this page the instant anything is confirmed.
GTA 6 Trailer 3 release date: the candidate windows
None of these is confirmed. This is a map of the pressure points on Rockstar's calendar, not a countdown — the moments where a third trailer makes more or less sense.
The two most plausible windows sit close together. The first is Take-Two's earnings call in early August 2026: Rockstar has paired reveals with the publisher's financial calendar before, and a big marketing beat suits the quarter right after pre-orders opened. The second is late August, roughly three months out, which is where a gameplay-heavy trailer usually lands to carry a game to release.
Gamescom in August is the obvious guess and the wrong one. Rockstar does not show at Gamescom, at E3 or at any trade event; it drops trailers on its own Newswire, alone. Treat it as unlikely no matter how many countdown threads say otherwise.
A final pre-launch push in September or October is possible, though it would leave a long, quiet summer that does not sit well with a $79.99 pre-order already on sale.
The one thing every serious estimate agrees on: a third trailer arrives before the 19 November launch, almost certainly during the autumn marketing run. Anyone handing you an exact day is guessing.
How Rockstar actually drops its trailers
The pattern is worth more than the rumours, because it tells you how much warning you are going to get: almost none.
- Trailer 1 did have a scheduled premiere — 5 December 2023, 9 AM Eastern — and never reached it. A watermarked copy leaked on X the night before, so Rockstar published the real thing early, on the evening of 4 December 2023.
- Trailer 2 arrived with zero warning on 6 May 2025, four days after Rockstar announced the game was slipping out of 2025 — turning "another delay" into "look at this" in a matter of minutes.
So a "leaked Trailer 3 date" is worth very little. When it comes, it will land on Rockstar's Newswire and official YouTube channel with a day's notice at most — or none at all.
Beware of fake Trailer 3 "leaks"
Every week that passes without a trailer, the fakes get bolder: AI-generated "leaked footage", recut Trailer 2 shots with a new title card, thumbnails promising a premiere that never happens, reaction videos to a trailer that does not exist yet, and countdown streams farming the wait. Only Rockstar can publish GTA 6 Trailer 3, and it will do it in exactly two places: the Rockstar Newswire and its official YouTube channel. If it is not in one of those, it is not the trailer — however convincing the video looks.

GTA 6 Trailer 1 and Trailer 2 recap
Trailer 1 arrived in December 2023, introduced Lucia and modern Vice City, and instantly broke YouTube records for a game trailer. Trailer 2 followed on 6 May 2025, showing far more of Jason and Lucia, the wider state of Leonida, the tone, and the soundtrack. Our full GTA 6 trailers breakdown covers every detail, song and hidden reference in both.
What to expect from Trailer 3
Trailer 3 should be the gameplay-forward beat: expect a sharper look at missions, the heist-and-getaway structure of the Jason and Lucia story, driving, combat and the living world of Leonida, likely tied to a firmer marketing message now that the release date and pre-orders are locked. It may also debut alongside a fresh batch of screenshots, as Trailer 2 did. For the visual state of the game right now, see our 63 new screenshots gallery.
Where to watch it and how we will cover it
Trailer 3 will premiere on Rockstar's official YouTube and the Newswire. When it lands we will embed it here, publish a frame-by-frame breakdown, and push it across our GTA 6 news feed — no countdown clock, no fake leaks, just the real trailer the minute it is live.
