ClaimThe Peterbilt Tow-Rod is an add-on truck for GTA V Enhanced, converted by DimoSerb from the original model by gunsscorch. It is a chopped rat rod wrecker built after the black tow truck seen in Fast and Furious: Hobbs and Shaw, and it looks the part: a squat cab dropped over huge off-road tyres, a chrome mesh grille the size of a door, a row of five marker lights above the roof, twin chrome stacks either side of the cab and a bare wooden flatbed deck behind.
The tow rig is what sells it. A welded steel boom rises over the deck with a chain running along the top, a winch drum with wound cable sits at its base and a hook hangs off the end. The Nexus page makes no claim about a working tow function, so treat all of that as modelled bodywork rather than a script. The cab is built out to match, with a big analogue speedometer, a bank of round gauges on the right and a panel of rocker switches with a digital readout, and it is legible from the first person camera. The truck ships with a custom engine sound and is set up for the Enhanced build and for NaturalVision Evolved.
Installation is the standard add-on routine. Copy the towrod folder into your dlcpacks directory, open dlclist.xml with OpenIV or a plain text editor, add the matching Item line and save, then spawn the truck with the name towrod from your trainer. The author notes that the mod was developed and tested on a clean copy of GTA V for stability and frame rate, so your own result depends on how many scripts and high poly models the game is already loading.
Original model by gunsscorch; custom engine sound by TheAdmiester; converted for GTA V Enhanced by DimoSerb. It is hosted on GTA6 Cartel with the author's permission, and the original Nexus release is linked as the source.

Frequently asked questions
What is the spawn name?
Use 'towrod' from any trainer or spawner.
Does it work on GTA V Legacy?
No. This is an Enhanced conversion; it targets GTA V Enhanced (and NVE), not the Legacy build.
Is it an add-on or a replace?
Add-on. It does not overwrite any stock vehicle; you spawn it separately with 'towrod'.
Does the boom actually tow anything?
The original listing makes no claim about a working tow function, so treat the boom, the winch and the hook as modelled bodywork until you test it yourself.
Does it have its own engine sound?
Yes. The truck carries a custom engine sound credited to TheAdmiester on the original release.
