Claim
Front three quarter view of the black CT6 with its chrome framed mesh grille, vertical LED light signatures and machined multi spoke wheels
Rear three quarter view showing the vertical tail lights, the V badge on the boot lid and four exhaust tips
Side view with all four doors open showing the red lit door inserts and the driver at the wheel on an industrial street

The CT6 is Cadillac's flagship saloon: the long, low four door built to carry the crest with some dignity. After leaving the US range in 2020 it lived on for the Chinese market, which is exactly where a 2021 model year car like this one comes from. The add-on by xxMalixx brings it to GTA V Enhanced, converted by DimoSerb, with animated lights as its headline feature.

The screenshots show a black limousine on machined multi spoke wheels, the chrome framed mesh grille under the crest and the vertical LED signatures that give the front end its face. Round the back there are vertical tail lamps, a V badge on the boot lid and four exhaust tips under the bumper. All four doors open over a black cabin with red lit door inserts, and the first person view puts you behind the cluster with its blue ringed speedometer and the icon grid of the infotainment screen.

The car installs as its own dlcpack, so it replaces nothing in the stock garage. Copy the folder into dlcpacks, register the CT6V21 package in dlclist.xml with OpenIV or the onigiri loader, and spawn it with the model name CT6V21, the same as the folder. One quirk the author flags in capitals: the FENDER part has to be installed with any trainer to get the complete vehicle, so open your trainer's vehicle mod options after spawning and fit it.

The download comes in two variants: one with a custom engine sound and one that keeps the stock GTA engine audio, useful when another sound add-on conflicts with it, an issue the author notes has existed since the Legacy days. The mod was developed and tested on a clean copy of GTA V Enhanced, so performance will depend on the rest of your mod list.

Original mod by xxMalixx, converted for GTA V Enhanced by DimoSerb. Hosted on GTA6 Cartel with the author's permission, with the original release linked as the source.

Requirements

  • GTA V Enhanced
  • OpenIV (or the onigiri loader) to edit dlclist.xml
  • A trainer with vehicle spawning, also used to fit the FENDER part

How to install

  1. 1Copy the contents of the folder to mods\update\x64\dlcpacks (or to onigiri\dlcpacks if you use the onigiri loader).
  2. 2With OpenIV, open update\update.rpf\common\data and edit dlclist.xml. With onigiri, edit onigiri\common\data\dlclist.xml with any text editor.
  3. 3Add the line <Item>dlcpacks:/CT6V21/</Item> and save the file.
  4. 4In game, spawn the car with the model name CT6V21.
  5. 5Install the FENDER part with any trainer to get the complete vehicle.

Frequently asked questions

How do I spawn the CT6 in game?

Use any trainer and spawn it by the model name CT6V21, in capitals, which matches the dlcpack folder name.

I can't hear the engine sound. What's wrong?

Engine sound add-ons can conflict with each other, an issue that has existed since the Legacy scene. If it happens to you, install the variant that keeps the stock GTA engine sound.

Does it work on GTA V Legacy?

No. This port targets GTA V Enhanced only, so Legacy players should look for the original release by xxMalixx instead.

Why does my CT6 look incomplete after spawning?

The author notes that the FENDER part must be installed with any trainer to get the complete vehicle: spawn the car, open your trainer's vehicle mod options and fit the FENDER piece.
