GTA 5Enhanced2018 Yamaha YZF-R1 (R1M)

Claim
Front three quarter view of the silver and carbon R1M with blue accents, dark blue windscreen, gold forks and carbon lower fairing on a sunlit street
Rear three quarter view of the R1M showing the titanium Akrapovic silencer, the black San Andreas plate and the carbon panels over the tank
Front three quarter view of the red R1 with the Yamaha logo on the fairing, smoked windscreen, gold forks and drilled twin front brake discs

The YZF-R1 is Yamaha's flagship superbike, and the 2018 generation is the one that brought MotoGP electronics to the road: a crossplane four cylinder of around 200 horsepower with traction, slide and wheelie control derived from the M1 race bike. This add-on brings that generation to GTA V Enhanced, covering both the standard R1 and the R1M trim named in the title, and it ships with tuning parts so you can configure the bike inside the game.

The screenshots show the two faces of the pack. One build is the classic red R1 with a smoked windscreen, the Yamaha logo across the fairing, gold forks and a titanium silencer. The other wears the unmistakable R1M suit: silver panels over a carbon lower fairing, blue accents, the model badge on the flank and an Akrapovic exhaust. There is also a first person shot from behind the tall bubble, with the compact TFT dash reading neutral and both mirrors on their stalks while the bike waits at a country gas station.

The bike installs as its own dlcpack, so it replaces nothing in the stock garage. Copy the folder into dlcpacks, register the yzfr1 package in dlclist.xml with OpenIV or the onigiri loader, and spawn it with the model name r1.

The download comes in two variants: one with a custom engine sound and one that keeps the stock GTA audio, the safe choice when another sound add-on conflicts with it, an issue the author notes has existed since the Legacy days. The mod was developed and tested on a clean copy of GTA V Enhanced, so performance will depend on the rest of your mod list.

Requirements

  • GTA V Enhanced

  2. 2With OpenIV, open update\update.rpf\common\data and edit dlclist.xml. With onigiri, edit onigiri\common\data\dlclist.xml with any text editor.
  3. 3Add the line <Item>dlcpacks:/yzfr1/</Item> and save the file.
  4. 4In game, spawn the bike with the model name r1.

Frequently asked questions

How do I spawn the YZF-R1 in game?

Use any trainer and spawn it by the model name r1. Note that the dlcpack folder is called yzfr1, but the spawn name is just r1.

I can't hear the engine sound. What's wrong?

Engine sound add-ons can conflict with each other, an issue that has existed since the Legacy scene. If it happens to you, install the variant that keeps the stock GTA engine sound.

Does it work on GTA V Legacy?

No. This port targets GTA V Enhanced only, so Legacy players should look for the original release by Zen-Imogen instead.

Is the R1M included, or just the standard R1?

The pack covers the R1M trim named in the title: the screenshots show the silver and carbon R1M build alongside the red R1, and the included tuning parts let you set the bike up in game.
