The Ram 1500 Limited is the pickup wearing a suit: the 2016 model year topped the Ram range with a chrome grille spelling RAM across the nose, polished wheels and a cabin that borrows from luxury saloons. This add-on brings that truck to GTA V Enhanced as a crew cab with tuning parts, and the download also includes a Replace option for one of the game's own vehicles.

The screenshots tour the truck's two moods. At an old country gas station it appears in full expedition trim, with a five lamp light bar on the roof and a colour matched canopy over the bed; another shot swaps the canopy for a chrome sports bar and lets the saddle brown leather show through the rear glass. The interior gets its own capture: a wood rimmed steering wheel, analogue dials flanking the trip computer, RAM lettering across the dash and the touchscreen tuned to a satellite radio station.

The add-on installs as its own dlcpack, so it touches nothing in the stock garage. Copy the folder into dlcpacks, register the dl2016 package in dlclist.xml with OpenIV or the onigiri loader, and spawn it with the model name dl2016.

If you prefer the Replace route, the same download can overwrite the game's Granger, the big four door from Declasse — Nexus lists the target as GRINGER, but the files go into vehicles.rpf as with any replace. Keep in mind that the Granger shows up in missions, so the swap will appear in those scenes too.

The download comes in two variants: one with a custom engine sound and one that keeps the stock GTA audio, the safe choice when another sound add-on conflicts with it, an issue the author notes has existed since the Legacy days. The mod was developed and tested on a clean copy of GTA V Enhanced.

Requirements

  • GTA V Enhanced
  • OpenIV (or the onigiri loader) to edit dlclist.xml
  • A trainer with vehicle spawning to spawn the truck

How to install

  1. 1Copy the contents of the folder to mods\update\x64\dlcpacks (or to onigiri\dlcpacks if you use the onigiri loader).
  2. 2With OpenIV, open update\update.rpf\common\data and edit dlclist.xml. With onigiri, edit onigiri\common\data\dlclist.xml with any text editor.
  3. 3Add the line <Item>dlcpacks:/dl2016/</Item> and save the file.
  4. 4In game, spawn the truck with the model name dl2016.
  5. 5Replace option (Granger): copy the contents of the Replace folder to mods\x64e.rpf\levels\gta5\vehicles.rpf (or to onigiri\dlcpacks\nve_vehicles\dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles.rpf).

Frequently asked questions

How do I spawn the Ram in game?

Use any trainer and spawn it by the model name dl2016, the same name as the dlcpack folder.

I can't hear the engine sound. What's wrong?

Engine sound add-ons can conflict with each other, an issue that has existed since the Legacy scene. If it happens to you, install the variant that keeps the stock GTA engine sound.

Does it work on GTA V Legacy?

No. This port targets GTA V Enhanced only, so Legacy players should look for the original release by abdulla_kw instead.

What does the Replace option overwrite?

The Granger, the game's big Declasse four door — the Nexus page spells it GRINGER. Its files go into vehicles.rpf, and since the Granger appears in missions, the Ram will show up in those scenes too. If you would rather keep the stock game untouched, use the add-on install instead.
