maybe theres a Timmy Vermicelli Tommy Vercetti Memorial Swimming Pool somewhere on the map.

i think Tommy is canonically confirmed to exist, or to have existed at some point in this universe, but thats about as far as id take it.

i thought it was genuinely cool they called it the "Vercetti Estate" specifically, thats literally my CEO org name in Online lol. nice little callback.

universe separation means no 3D era character can physically show up in the HD universe. thats just how R* has drawn the line so far.

im a bit lost on the whole Phil Cassidy is back thing. where did that even get confirmed. feels like people just ran with an assumption.

i mean since the revolvers are from the Vercetti Estate that kinda implies he has indeed passed away and his assets got sold off and distributed. so he existed here in some form.

right, the guy cant actually be Phil. it could be his shop and the person behind the counter is maybe his kid or just a new owner. nobody confirmed its him.

could be a rebooted version of the character. could also be someone related to him. R* leaves it vague on purpose so both camps can argue forever.

honestly i wouldnt want to see Tommy alive at all. at most a very brief, confusing encounter, but id honestly like it best if he just turned up as a memorial somewhere.

he might get referenced in the game, his mansion, indirect nods, that kind of thing. i doubt its more than that though.

i think what theyre doing is a lot like GTA Online honestly. you can have these legacy references without it touching the main story canon at all.

Tommy is not (yet) confirmed for GTA 6 and he wont be part of the main cast. a reference is not the same as a canon confirmation. thats the whole thread in one line.

Grove Street is a different crew in V's timeline

small thing but the gang is actually just called "The Families" in V. Grove Street is the neighbourhood, not the set.
