take it slow and enjoy the tiny things in the world they spent years building, exactly like i did with rdr2. and mess with all the stuff they DONT shove a tutorial popup in your face for. its been a long wait, im gonna savour it.

test hair physics underwater. stick a hat on and see if it squashes the hair. jump off something tall and check if theres any gore. put makeup on Lucia then send her for a swim to see if it runs. thats my whole list for now honestly.

probably just gonna loiter around Jasons block in Key Lento for a few in game days. see how much the locals actually respect him and how scared they are of his boss.

staying close to home most likely, poking at the wanted system to see how it feels and where theyve actually improved it.

i really wanna jack a boat and see how the ocean behaves. maybe take a drive, check the water effects, watch what happens when you get soaked. then catch a sunset. sit and watch the weather roll in and change. honestly i just wanna live in it for a while before i touch a single mission.

if the game lets me, im gonna plonk myself on a park bench or the kerb outside some club, then literally go afk and eat my actual dinner while i watch the npcs run their opening and closing routines. sad but thats the dream right there.

ill be doing the same but with the water, wading in at different depths to check if how wet my clothes get actually matches, then going prone right at the shoreline so my head sits just above the surface and the tide washes over me. its the little stuff that gets me.

haha i clocked the second i opened this thread that somebody would end up saying it. me, im going straight to find that house from the definitive edition trailer and just standing in it like a weirdo.

first thing that pops into my head is get to the nearest beach and sail out on those gorgeous water physics while i take in the vibe and get to know the radio stations.

every time i pick up a new gun im gonna drive out to the everglades, find a quiet spot and test it properly. used to do the exact same thing down by the river in 5.

ever since the 3d ones i always stick near wherever the game starts you and creep outwards slowly. theres just way too much detail to soak up for me to go tearing across the map on day one. the rdr2 opening did this to me and i loved every second of it.

after the prologue i wanna roam the city and stay squeaky clean for as long as i possibly can. no shootouts, no jacking cars, ill even stop at red lights and explore like a normal person. see how long i last before it all goes sideways.
