genuine question, i keep going back and forth on this one. chiliad was THE landmark of V, you could pick it out from half the map.
is kalaga going to be on that scale, or is it more of an enormous park with a hill sat in the middle of it? curious what everyone reckons

kalaga looks like its properly out of town, in something built to work as a full national park. rangers, marked trails, campgrounds, the lot. probably somewhere you can disappear to and lie low for a bit as well.
chiliad was never small. it was just boxed in by what the hardware could do back then, and kalaga with its park doesnt have that ceiling

my guess is technically a touch taller, but spread across a much wider and more believable area, and nowhere near as pointy as chiliad was

yeah this. not necessarily a taller mountain, but a far bigger wild area wrapped around it. a proper national park with actual things to do in it, instead of chiliad where you went up, had a look, came back down
worth remembering georgias mountains are two or three times smaller than californias. its rolling hills and gradual climbs up there, so realistically no giant summit, and absolutely zero chance of a snow capped peak
bigger, probably. the official blurb for the park puts it as a national landmark pinned to the northern edge of the state. hunting, fishing, trails you can take a truck down, and backwoods stuffed with hillbilly mystics and people hiding from the feds.
which is interesting, because it never actually says the park is in leonida. my read is that it sits on the northern line and is really in gloriana

the postcard in that screenshot literally has visit leonida written across it though. thats the whole point of those, states advertise their OWN attractions to pull tourists in. nobody sticks the neighbouring states mountain on their postcard
call me unwell but im convinced theres a slice of gloriana tucked away up there. and if not that, then a few little towns hidden in the trees at minimum

every game grows as the hardware lets it, thats simply how this goes. rockstar shipped something in 2013 and it was massive for its day. they ship something in 2026 and obviously it dwarfs that.
the mountain, the buildings, the fields, every last bit of it scales up. what exactly are we arguing about here
this place is obsessed with the idea that bigger automatically means better. a smaller mountain is completely fine, the number is arbitrary. give it a character thats genuinely its own and it lands just as hard as the big empty rock in 5 did
