weve been waiting the best part of a decade for this so im curious what everyone actually wants left behind. mine is easy: i dont want online eating the single player alive again like it did with 5. story mode in 5 was genuinely brilliant and it deserved way more than it got once the shark card money took over. i just want vi to pour that same care into the offline side, the little details, the moments that stick with you. so whats the one thing from 5 youd be glad to never see again?
One thing from GTA 5 you hope 6 leaves behind?EN

let me grab a customised motor at a shop, flag it as my main ride, and actually have it stick around. the thing shouldnt just evaporate the second im not looking at it.
have it stick around
this exactly. if im sinking money into a car it should feel like the thing is properly mine, not a rental that vanishes before i even get across town.
i get why the game despawns abandoned cars, its just freeing up memory and keeping the map tidy. but stick a flag on your chosen vehicle so its exempt from that sweep, and you swap which one is active at a garage, a safehouse or straight off the phone. what drove me up the wall in 5 was how random it was. id ditch a car by the airport, drive all the way north to paleto, loop back, and it was still sat there. then id leave one right outside a building, walk in for two minutes, come back out and its gone and im ringing the mechanic again.
they basically already pulled this off in rdr2 with the horse. id call it close to a lock for 6 tbh.
the cop ai for me. being able to actually break line of sight and shake them is miles ahead of the older games, no notes there. its the bottomless supply of patrol cars, especially on a one or two star, that ruins it. give me the rdr2 wanted system with a gta paint job.
break line of sight
yeah and the part that gets me is they still drift right toward wherever youre tucked away even when not one of them saw you go in there.
would make a lot more sense if the cops actually had to ask the npcs nearby whether anyone saw you before they come sprinting over.
its the way theres no escaping them thats the killer. you can drop one guy with a suppressor way out in the sticks, not a soul for miles, and somehow theres a cruiser creeping down the dirt track 40 feet away like it teleported in 😂
the flying motorbike nonsense. still cant figure out what possessed them to drop that into a gta game.
getting blown sky high by some random flying car in online was the moment i tapped out. then the oppressor crowd finished the job, lobbies just turned into a circus after that.
handing us zero story dlc and dumping it all into online again. 4 had proper expansions and id kill for more to sink into once youve wrapped the main game and the side stuff.
more to sink into
dont hold your breath, i really dont think theyre ever touching single player dlc again. its gonna be online 2 getting squeezed dry for the next ten years.
i want that old vice city property setup back. let me buy places that bring in income, with missions to build each one up so it earns more over time. safehouses are grand and all but give me actual businesses to run. in 5 there was basically zero point owning any of them.
the single player money is either a fiver or ten million with nothing in the middle, and half the economy is walled off til youre nearly done with the story anyway. the whole thing leans on hoarding cash and abusing the assassination stock tips right at the end. i just want 6 to spread the paydays out so theres an actual middle ground to spend in.
the tone of the writing. id take something a bit more grounded with real emotional weight this time round. and before anyone piles on, no that doesnt mean it has to stop being funny.
