ive been going back through the official shots and the gator place keeps turning up. three times, in three completely unrelated scenes. hear me out before you tell me to touch grass.

thats cal, on a crazy golf course built underneath a massive gator, thatched huts and a waterfall behind him. rockstar dont usually burn a whole screenshot on a place you never go back to. michaels tennis court in V turned into an entire thing.

and this is the one nobody has mentioned. in the pool hall, up on the wall, theres a screen playing the entrance of the same attraction. giant cartoon gator head, people walking in through its jaws, entrance sign and all. thats a weirdly specific thing to model for a bar you stand in for one shot.

then grassrivers. airboat, scoped rifle, dead gator on the boards. so on one side of the state theres a family attraction with a gator on the roof and on the other theres blokes shooting them for money.

my bet: theres a mission strand in there. you start out catching gators for the park, the hunters are your competition, and halfway through it flips and the park turns out to be the one keeping them alive. rockstar love making you feel clever and then making you feel dirty about it.

am i seeing patterns in nothing or does that place look far too built out to be scenery?

its a fun read but be careful, you can talk yourself into anything staring at a screenshot long enough. that said they do love environmental storytelling, so even if none of it is story critical id happily bet on some memorable side stuff out there

the screen in the bar is the bit that got me. i pulled it up full size and its definitely the same gator. you dont build a promo clip for a location thats decoration

of course its cal. this is a man whose own bio is basically what if everything on the internet was true and who thinks the birds fly in formation on purpose. if anyone was going to be hanging around a gator park with a putter its him 😭

if the crazy golf is actually playable im doing nothing else for a fortnight. weve had tennis, weve had golf, a gator themed pitch and putt is the most leonida thing ive ever heard

small thing on the theory: gator farms are real and theyre all over florida. they breed them, the tourist bit pays the bills and the skins pay the rest. so the twist where the park are secretly the good guys is a bit of a stretch, the real ones arent exactly a sanctuary

none of this matters. can i put one in a car

somebody is walking a gator into a police station in week one and were all going to watch it 💀

or, hear me out, its a landmark. the state is florida. florida has gator attractions. not everything in a screenshot is a mission

the swamp shot reads more like a strangers and freaks intro than a whole chain to me. one weird bloke, one airboat, four missions, done

grassrivers is right next door to that whole area though, so a job that starts at the park and finishes in the marsh basically writes itself

help us relocate these poor animals sir. forty minutes later im doing 60 through a mangrove in an airboat with a live gator in the back and three lads shooting at me. yeah i can see it

rdr2 had the legendary animals. wouldnt shock me at all if theres one massive gator hiding out in the grassrivers with its own little hunting mission

this is the only part im fully sold on lol. whatever the gator stuff turns out to be, someone is getting used

whatever it ends up being im getting a photo under the big gator before i do a single mission
