ok hear me out. one thing san andreas got right was the map opening up bit by bit, unlocking a new chunk actually felt like something you earned. i want that back in VI, just not with a fake wall you bounce off.

so what if the prologue drops us into vice city right as a hurricane comes through. by the time the intro is done leonida is wrecked, roads caved in, whole districts sat under water. no invisible barriers anywhere, just rubble and floodwater in the way. and then as the story rolls on you watch the place get rebuilt around you and those zones come back online once you hit certain missions.

and no, i dont want a hard lock. cross the line if you fancy it, just make it not worth much. no side jobs out there, no strangers and freaks, maybe even give us an achievement for being stubborn about it 😅

lucia has the tag on her ankle for most of trailer 1, its right there. easiest thing going is to start chucking stars at you the moment you drift too far out

start chucking stars at you the moment you drift too far out

and jason? mans isnt wearing one

hes whipped. man goes where lucia goes 😭

locking stuff off early also makes the whole place feel a lot bigger than it really is. half the reason san andreas felt enormous back then

an ankle monitor is a far nicer way of doing it than an invisible wall or some sniper magically plinking you off a roof like red dead did

calling it now, the keys are gonna be tutorial island. and by day two someone will be posting how long they lasted on 5 stars with the thing still strapped to their leg

or you jack a car and just drive off? a wanted level isnt a wall lol

wasnt this the exact excuse for the bridges being shut in the original vice city

yep. storm warning, bridges closed, come back later. the young ones have no idea

decent idea but please dont make the weather a prologue only gimmick. i want a proper storm wrecking my afternoon in chapter 5 as well

swim far enough out to sea and have a storm roll in on top of you, theres your soft wall, and it shows off the water tech while its at it. floods i doubt, but wind chucking chairs and umbrellas down ocean drive, that id believe

you see it on gta v rp servers all the time. power cuts, no street lights, no traffic lights, empty roads in the rain. looks unreal honestly. give me that in VI

the st denis moment in rdr2 lands so much harder if you never blundered into it early. doing the same here, only going where the story sends me. keys first, vice city once theyve got money, then moving again when the heat turns up. swap the camps for motel rooms and its the same game
